Introduction

This Personal Data Protection Policy & Guidelines (“Policy”) sets out Swap Asia Group Sdn. Bhd. (“SWAP”) and its group of companies (collectively known as “SWAP”, “Swap Asia Group” or “the Group”) personal data protection practices that will be followed to respect the personal data of individuals who deal with SWAP. This Policy is established in accordance with the Malaysian Personal Data Protection Act (“Act”) and the personal data protection principles which are set out in the Act.

This Policy is applicable to all our existing and/or potential customers, vendors, suppliers, subcontractors, consultants, agents, representatives and others performing work or services for or on behalf of the Group, employees within the Group and directors of SWAP, both executive and non-executive. By providing your Personal Data to us and signing of the Consent Form set forth in Appendix 1, you are consenting to this Policy and the collection, use, access, transfer, storage and processing of your Personal Data as described in this Policy. By entering into a contract or agreement or engaging in any transactions with us, you are deemed to have read, understood and consented to the term of this Policy. Alternatively, if we intend to use your Personal Data for the purpose not described in this Policy, we will first obtain your explicit consent. If you do not consent to the collection and/or processing by SWAP ofyour Personal Data for purposes we deem appropriate, we may not be able to provide our services required or to consider you for employment opportunities. If you do not consent to our use of your Personal Data and wish to withdraw your consent at any time, please contact our Data Protection Officer at the details provided below and we shall accordingly delete your Personal Data from our system.
